Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL)

CQL works to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual, developmental, and psychiatric disabilities. They have developed rigorous quality assurance programs and processes that challenge organizations to continually grow and improve the quality of life for the people they support. Camphill is proudly accredited through the Council on Quality and Leadership.

Through CQL we utilize a proven framework for quality monitoring and enhancement, challenging us to continually improve services and opportunities at Camphill. Following our re-accreditation with the Council on Quality and Leadership last year, we continue to promote rights & education around setting appropriate goals. A focus this past year has been Person-Directed planning. Person-directed plans are an opportunity for the people we support to express what is most important in their life. It is an inclusive process of setting goals, developing strategies and outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish the goals—a way of organizing around one person to support them in defining and creating a better future. Camphill is fully committed to person-directed planning and our ongoing accreditation with CQL.
